Mental health support for UWA staff members

What mental health support is available for me and other staff?

The University is committed to promoting a sensitive and informed approach to mental health, ensuring that the campus community is aware of and responsive to the needs of those who are at risk of developing, or who have a mental health concern. Resources available for you and your staff to access include:

  • Mental Health Policy 
  • Mental Health Emergency on Campus – procedures to follow in the event of a mental health emergency on campus
  • Training – including personal development workshops, further information about common mental health conditions and Equity and Diversity Workshops for Staff and Students
  • Employee Assistance Program -  provides free, practical and confidential assistance to UWA staff members and their immediate family
  • UWA Specific Policies – that relate to the management of appropriate workplace behaviour
  • Return to Work Assistance – is available to staff members who require assistance in returning to work following a psychological injury/illness
  • Other information – relating to support available for staff both on and off campus
